S.J. & M.K. Gray Builders P/L was founded by Steve Gray (Managing Director). Steve has more than 30 years experience in the construction industry, starting as an apprentice carpenter in 1980, progressing to Carpenter & Joiner and finally to licensed builder in 1992.After many years building in the Shoalhaven on the South Coast of N.S.W the family relocated to the Newcastle Region where we engage in all forms of new dwelling from first home buyers to specilaising in Prestige Homes and in particular Waterfront Dwellings. We have access to a skilled team of Architects, Building designers, Surveyors, Town planners and Building Certifiers with the ability to undertake any project from the initial concept design through to handover, all compliant with local and state Authorities, conditions and codes.Steve is your builder, supervisor and contact throughout the construction process, and we employ family members who also hold builders licenses & Carpentry qualifications.Every client has direct access to a company director to discuss their new home.The company’s Construction Quality Control System provides for a minimum of seven on site meetings between every client and Steve at which status reports are signed off and any defects noted in writing for rectification. These scheduled meetings are with the business owners and not just an employee site supervisor.Every client receives a personalized Home Owner’s Manual containing: a complete set of Council approved plans; a warranty summary with centralized contact phone numbers; hard copies of all warranties; all certificates and approvals; and maintenance procedures. Construction is by our hand-picked proven trade contractors with decades of experience building homes in the region, they are all licensed, have appropriate OH& S qualifications and also have your best interest in mind.Construction materials are supplied by industry leader suppliers offering full warranties and guarantees. Our dedicated Maintenance Officer personally visits every client home to evaluate and, when applicable, arrange for rectification work to be carried out. Our primary concern is that your new home is created with your best interest in mind.
